Fostering Funk with Casey Foster

The Dregs Episode 3: behind the scenes with Casey Foster from House of Funk Brewing

We’re back! It’s been a while since our last blog post, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy. We recently partnered with Cascadian Beer Podcast on a new podcast project, The Dregs. If you haven’t checked out our first two episodes, make sure to listen and subscribe.

For episode three, we spoke with our good friend Casey Foster. Casey currently works for House of Funk Brewing in North Vancouver as an Assistant Brewer, and has been involved in the craft brewing industry for a few years.

Starting as a Lower Mainland sales rep for Phillips Brewing & Malting Co. he discovered a deep passion for craft beer which also sparked an interest in home brewing. After honing his skills through VanBrewers and more than a few patio brew days at his Kitsilano apartment, Casey made the transition from front-of-house at Phillips to back-of-house at House of Funk.

Casey shared some great stories from his time in the craft beer industry with us in this episode. He also poured us some delicious HoF beers, including a few samples straight from the barrels and tanks. Thanks for the hospitality Casey!

Check out some behind-the-scenes photos from the recording, and let us know what you think of episode.
